Sport worldwide played, Golf is very appreciated by Vietnamese. Despite the rapidly growing  number of golfers, younger player group aged between 5 and 17 years old remains very small.
In order to contribute in the development of the sports of Golf in the country Vietnam Golf Academy has established a golf school dedicated not only to adults but also to the training of children.
The goal of the golf school is not only to reveal future talents but also to partake in the natural growth of children by using the sports to communicate life values such as solidarity, respect, concentration and self-control.
Like any teaching, it is important for young golfers to be mentored by professionals so that techniques, materials and pedagogy are appropriate to their age and morphology.

Thomas Chapelle- Golf Professional, French and European PGA, Managing Director of Viet Nam Golf Academy Dao Sen
Golf professional and certified instructor in 2010 under the tutelage of Mr Laurent Puig (former President of the PGA France), Thomas has been teaching in Vietnam in the past two years. In France, he dedicated two years at the Golf School of the Golf Domaine de Saint Clair, where he organised and led golf education.

Oliver Toffoli. Golfer since the age of 14 years, Olivier is a confirmed amateur who has received intensive training in France. Olivier will act as a volunteer with young people to support Thomas in his teaching.

Organization of the golf school

The Golf School of Dao Sen is managed by Vietnam Golf Academy, in partnership with Dao Sen club.

For Children Golf academy, The agenda of the golf school is based on the school calendar for children. Therefore courses, lasting from one and half hour every weekend, are offered from September to June. The courses will not be provided during school holidays.

Pedagogy

In golf, as in all other sports, a good learning has to be instilled through structured teaching methods. Following their own rhymes, the students will validate their progress through small diplomas. In addition, students will confirm their progress during the frequent competitions (team or individual).

The technical progress is necessary but it should not be the only goal for the child. He will also know and apply the rules and « etiquette », respect other players and the course, exercise self-control, acquire courage and fighting spirit, perseverance and creativity which are universal qualities golf can help develop.
